Good morning. Quick post this morning due to the fact I will go into more detail on a seperate post around 7pm tonight.
Our current storm system will be ending soon in most areas and dropped a few inches of snow. It looks like my forecast will work out well and I will evaluate once all the reports comes in. We received 1.5" in NW NJ.
We then have two more storm systems to track for Sunday and Tuesday. The bigger threat is Tuesday. At this time it appears Sunday will be a light to moderate snow event focused on areas in the interior while areas closer to the coast can seeing icing.
The storm system on Tuesday can be much bigger and I will be trying to work out those details today. The focus will be the northern Mid Atlantic into New England for ice and heavy snow. I mention Ice because even if the storm does track more west, there will still be a lot of low level cold air that would cause a wide area of freezing rain and sleet near the NYC metro.
