5pm Update: Power Outages likely across NNJ as winds will pick up tomorrow and power lines and trees have 0.25 to 0.5" of ice on them. I am particularity concerned with NW NJ above 800ft. Temps really did not go above freezing today and ice really accumulated. The snow part of my forecast may have busted but this ice is living up to the hype and was always my biggest concern if you have been following last few days.
Here are some pics taken this evening from the Morristown area. Add some gusty winds tomorrow with bitter cold temps and snow squalls moving in from an approaching arctic front and you get my point...
Temps stay below freezing tonight and tomorrow and really plummet by tomorrow night. We can also see snow squalls tomorrow afternoon as front moves through. Temps drop to low to mid teens tomorow night and low 20s for highs Thursday.
