6pm Video Update: Major Ice Storm Tonight for areas to the NW
Good evening. My forecast is on track. The video below gives the play by play. I really expect a high impact freezing rain event for areas in Morris,Sussex,Warren counties in NJ and across NE PA and CT. This is a major winter storm for those areas. For other areas in NJ and near the city you will see some ice tonight but temperatures will go above freezing by tomorrow morning so that should help damper impacts. Snow and ice will begin to break out soon over the Tri-State. A few quick inches can pile up across Northern NNJ before it changes to ice after midnight.
