Sunday Afternoon Video Update: Go Wax Up Those Ski's and Head to VT
Video below is a very quick summary of my thoughts after looking at today's models. I will be releasing my final forecast for this storm tomorrow morning. For the most part if you are at a low elevation and anywhere near a big city, this is an intense rain storm on Tuesday.

How does central New York look for a snow lover? I'm afraid we're going to get more sleet until like Tuesday night that can cut down our totals
ReplyDeleteAlso, what is your elevation? That will play a role for Tuesday
DeleteI think central New York especially west of the thruway is a good spot with this storm. Some warm air might filter in on Tuesday aloft causing some sleet but overall I like you in 12+" of snow accumulation.
ReplyDeleteI'm at about 1300 ft, I'm in Paris just a little south of Utica if you know where that is
ReplyDeleteNAM showing a lot of downsloping, but the gfs doesnt. Gotta love it
ReplyDeleteI think you might be far enough west of the warm air advection to stay mostly snow with some mixing towards end of the day Tuesday. Looking at the thermal profiles you are right on the boarder. The elevation should help. Going to have to keep an eye on every model run up to the event.
