Thursday Evening Update: Snow Will Now Impact Region Saturday

Good evening. There have been some important developments from today's model data. Snow is now in my forecast across the region for Saturday. Over the last 12 hours models have trended to shift the  a developing storm closer to the coast. This means instead of just coastal areas seeing an inch or two of snow, we now have accumulating snow in play region wide on Saturday.  Below is my initial snowfall forecast. Please take this with a grain of salt as i'm trying to anticipate how this will trend not what the current projections are. I could turn out to be wrong if this shifts back east tonight. Considering we are now only 36 hours away I feel like it is necessary to take a stand and make a forecast.

In any event, here is what I am expecting below. A final forecast will be issued tomorrow at this time...

This storm system should pave the way for an exciting upcoming period. There will be multiple shots at snow over the next few weeks. Who's dreaming of a White Christmas?

The video below gives a quick breakdown of what we need to watch for this weekends storm...
